As most entrepreneurs know, when it comes to being successful, a lot of it is determined by your mindset. Through hardships, daunting challenges, and failure, keeping the right mindset will always overcome that point where you just quit. This is the point that Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck makes from her studies on the different mindsets of people facing challenges- check it out.

Oh, Gramma Hase. She knew how to keep a kid from being underfoot. In the morning I would wake up and go down to what I think of as being a huge farm kitchen, but probably wasn’t as I was a kid, and while I was eating breakfast Gramma would be loading up an old small suitcase with my work items for the day. There would be various things to play with: an old umbrella, glasses, scarves, Casper the Friendly Ghost coloring book, crayons, and a vintage bakelite loose powder container filled with cookies… Monster cookies and then toss me […]

I’m a Tchaikovsky! “Comparing the routines of these creatives is fascinating. Some work in the early morning, some work better late at night. Many begin their day with coffee and use tobacco and alcohol. Considering that our modern concept of exercise was not developed until the mid-20th century, it is fascinating how many of these people spent their afternoons taking vigorous walks.” http://infowetrust.com/2014/03/26/creative-routines/ Data are from Mason Currey’s book DAILY RITUALS. Crack might be cheaper. Each package of chips costs $9. [Insert sad face here.] So, I did what any reasonable person would do and purchased a dehydrator and a crap-load of kale. […]
