Welcome to Grass Roots Farm, the site of our 3rd sold out Tour de Farm dinner. We were greeted at the farm by Linda Ward, the farm owner and her troop of co-op farmers. This is the smallest farm that we will be visiting this year, with only a couple of acres of land being worked. But that’s one of the really great things about working on a project like TdF. We get to celebrate the the diversity of things growing in this state as well as the myriad of ways it is being grown.
Storms once again threatened our table with a major storm in the morning and we were plagued by high winds and scattered showers throughout the rest of the day. We kept plugging away anyway. In the end Chef Graden and the brown shirt regulars put together a pretty spectacular dinner, if we do say so ourselves.
